Carradale Harbour Enterprises Ltd is delighted to announce the Great Carradale Canter taking place on Sunday 10th July 2016
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Great Carradale Canter 5 &10k event will take place on Sunday 10th July 2016 and will follow the same route as 2015.

Check in will open at about 10.00 and close at 11.00. Race briefing on the Start line at 11.20. The 10k will start promptly at 11.30am and the 5k will start at 11.35

Entry fees are £18 for the 10k (Early Bird £16 until 20th June) and £14 for the 5K (Early Bird £12 until 20th June). Junior, under 16 5k will be £7.
Both races start and finish at Carradale Harbour. The 10k course enjoys a hilly start on the local roads before heading for Carradale Bay and then forest roads, before returning to the village. Then across fields to Shore Road and back to the Harbour. The 5k run follows a similar route but has short cut after the beach. A map will be included in the entrant pack to be emailed out to all participants.
The 5k course is actually 5.7k in length.
This is an idyllic trail race with a mixture of sandy beach, path and forestry track with a few short(ish) road sections. Depending on the weather the off road sections may be muddy underfoot and entrants are advised to wear appropriate footwear. Some surfaces are uneven and can become slippery. Maps will be included in the entrant packs.
There will be water stations available at Carradale Network Centre, and at the finish line.
There will be prizes for 1st and 2nd Male and Female in 5k and 10k as well as Senior. There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for the junior 5k. There will be Shields for the fastest male and female runners.
